The Riverside Art Museum is a non-profit organization that provides public access to visual art. The museum hosts more than 20 exhibitions throughout the year.
The Mission Inn Foundation and Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Riverside's historic landmark. In addition to showcasing several exhibits and collections, the museum offers 75-minute walking tours that are led by trained docents and feature the art, architecture and history of the Mission Inn.
UCR / California Museum of Photography is part of the University of California campus. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center offers a variety of Scout classes. The cultural center also has an earth science museum, horticulture information and field trips.
The museum features displays of amphibians, repiles, birds from around the world, primates, carnivores, minerals and gems, over 100 species of trees and petrified wood from the Western USA. Open Saturdays from 2 to 5pm. Group tours can be taken at other times by appointment.
The museum commemorates the history of the inn and its history in Southern California. Displays include arts & crafts furnishings, Asian sculpture, works by major stained glass artists and California regional painters. Open Monday through Sunday 9:30am to 4pm.
The museum is home to Navajo arts and crafts, Riverside history, art galleries and many temporary exhibits.
The Sherman Indian Museum houses traditional Native American collections and preserves the history of the Sherman Indian High School.
